— Our Methodology
How every Tepi engagement is structured
Regardless of which engagement type you choose, the underlying approach is consistent. We observe before we recommend. We build alongside your people rather than handing over a finished product. We document every significant decision. And we are honest about the conditions under which what we have built should not be trusted.
This approach takes more time than a rapid deployment. We think that is appropriate. AI workflows that are understood, documented, and maintainable by your own staff are worth more than workflows that depend on the continued presence of an external consultant.
Engagement 01 · SGD 195
Marginal Note: Short AI Observation
A short engagement built around one half-day of careful observation of a chosen process within your organisation. We watch, we listen, and we take written notes that record what was actually happening rather than what is supposed to be happening. The output is a short marginal-note report in plain language, intended for shared reading within your leadership group.
What is included
- Half-day on-site or remote observation session
- Written marginal-note report (typically 6–10 pages)
- List of considered AI candidates with honest assessment
- Candidates recommended for setting aside, with reasons
- Delivered within five working days of the observation session
This engagement suits
Organisations considering AI for the first time, or those that have had previous AI projects underperform and want an independent, written assessment of where to focus attention next.

Annotated Build: Single AI Workflow with Documentation
We build a single AI-supported workflow alongside your team and prepare careful written annotation of the design decisions made along the way. The engagement includes a written specification, a build phase, a four-week trial with a chosen staff group, and a written handover document that reads as a small scholarly companion to the workflow itself.
What is included
- Written workflow specification (agreed before build begins)
- Build phase with your staff present and involved
- Four-week supervised trial with designated staff group
- Written handover companion document with design rationale
- Section on limitations and conditions for non-use
This engagement suits
Organisations that have identified a specific process — a draft-reply assistant, a structured-summary helper, or an internal Q&A tool — and want it built properly, with documentation their staff can actually use.

Annotated Programme: Multi-Workflow Documented Stewardship
A multi-month engagement during which we accompany your team through the practical work of integrating AI thoughtfully into a sequence of connected workflows. We meet fortnightly, prepare written notes after each session, and gradually shift operational responsibility to your in-house staff. A closing written report describes the present state of the documented body of work and offers measured recommendations for the year ahead.
What is included
- Multi-workflow scope covering connected processes
- Fortnightly sessions with written notes after each
- Annotated companion document for each workflow built
- Planned knowledge transfer to in-house staff
- Closing written report with year-ahead recommendations
This engagement suits
Organisations ready to integrate AI across several connected workflows, with a commitment to building internal capability and a documented body of work that will outlast the engagement itself.

Standards that apply regardless of scope
Data protection and PDPC compliance
We handle client data in compliance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. Data use is agreed in writing before any engagement begins and is not retained after the engagement closes.
Written scope agreement before work begins
Every engagement begins with a written scope document. We do not begin work until both parties have agreed on what is in scope and what is not, and what the deliverables will be.
One working day response to all communications
We respond to all client communications within one working day during active engagements. If a question requires more time to answer properly, we acknowledge receipt and give a realistic timeline.
Limitations documented alongside capabilities
Every workflow companion document includes an explicit section on the conditions under which the workflow should not be relied upon. This is a standard part of our methodology, not an optional addition.
